Two workers wounded in explosion at Hydel Power Plant Poonch | KNO

Poonch, May 26 (KNO): Two persons who were working at Kalani Mini Hydel Power Plant in Poonch district sustained injuries in an explosion on Tuesday, officials said. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the explosion is suspected to have occurred either due to oxygen cylinder or gas wielding cylinder. The explosion left two workers injured, who have been hospitalized in Poonch district hospital,” officials said, adding that the incident took place when some workers were working inside the Hydel Power Plant. One among the injured worker hails from Poonch’s Kalai village while the other is resident of Doda district, officials said. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch, Ramesh Angral told KNO that both the injured workers have been hospitalized. “Apparently, it seems that explosion has taken place due to gas wielding cylinders,” SSP said.
